Battle of Waterloo Formal Dinner

Following Dawn Service at Auckland Museum, you and your Guests are invited to come back to the Club for a traditional 'Gun Fire' breakfast in honour of our fallen soldiers and those who have served our country. This traditional breakfast was served ahead of coming battles to give troops courage to face the day. A rum laced coffee will be served alongside a hearty breakfast remembering those who fought for our freedom. Global Challenges Formal Dinner

Dear Members, Dig out your glad rags and attend this year’s first Officers’ Club Formal Dinner on Friday 21 February; a Signature Event that offers a lens into our nations future security in a geo political context. Our Guest of Honour, the Minister of Defence, Hon Judith Collins KC, will enlighten us on the benefits of NZ joining AUKUS, Pillar 11, the trilateral security partnership between Aust. UK and the US that promotes a free and open Indo - Pacific that is secure and stable, including collaboration on advanced capabilities.  She will also explain the possible ramifications if we don’t join. A Q&A opportunity will be provided. As with other Global Challenges Dinners, this promises to be a thoroughly absorbing evening enjoyed in the company of fellow Officers’ and Northern Club Members. Time:  6.30 pm for pre dinner drinks in the Wintergarden. (Please note the Minister will arrive at 6.00 pm.) Dress:  Black Tie or Mess Kit with Miniatures. Wallingford Trophy Memorial Shoot

Greetings,   Social Committee is pleased to invite Members of The Auckland Officers’ Club to a shooting contest in acknowledging the achievements of CAPT Jesse Wallingford at Gallipoli in 1915.  If you have not seen the handsome shooting trophy awarded to Wallingford, it sits above Sarah’s desk in the NC Office for your viewing pleasure.   Date: Sunday 20 Oct Timing: 0900 - 1500 Location: Whangaparoa Range Disciplines: -.22 Rifle, Shotgun Trap, and 9 mm Pistol. Equipment: Firearms will be provided by the Pistol Club, however, you may bring your own shotgun if preferred.  Cost: Pistol Club levy charge ($10pp) plus Ammunition (Thanks to Kurt Breetvelt who has offered to purchase them and advise the per person cost before the shoot).   Please Register through the Event Detail link below by midday on 14th Sep. Due to Pistol Club registration requirements, no late RSVP will be accepted.  This event is been organised by the Navy Pistol Club, and is open to Officers’ Club Members ONLY, with or without a Firearms Licence.
