75 years ago, the Battle of Cassino was one of the most brutal and costly battles involving New Zealand forces in the Second World War. The NZ Division under Lt General Bernard Freyberg mounted two unsuccessful attacks against the 500m high Monte Cassino and its historic 6th Century Benedictine Abbey. The NZ Division had 343 killed, over 1211 wounded and 42 captured.

Enjoy a traditional formal Mess Dinner while supporting this significant occasion and honour the status it merits.

Guests will be piped to their tables and port wine will be served for the Loyal Toast.

Rear Admiral James Gilmour, Commander Joint Forces, NZDF, will address the gathering.
